We invite our guests to dine with us and the other guests at our large table in the evening, exchange experiences and tips of the day over a delicious dinner and a good glass of wine.

Matine and Ron

At the top of a hill with wide views is our Trésor en Bois, a wooden house in Canadian style in wood pile construction. You can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet under the trees in front of the house. The swimming pool and outdoor kitchen with lounge complete the picture.

Trésor en Bois is the perfect haven for a relaxing and welcoming stay. Our accommodation offers 4 comfortable double rooms and 2 gîtes for 4 people. The garden offers a lovely swimming pool for cooling off. In the garden there are a number of seating areas where you can have breakfast and recover from the exciting day if you wish. A charming ambiance with a touch of French charm, surrounded by the breathtaking nature of Autoire. The surrounding area is well worth exploring. Historic towns, golfing, tennis, hiking, walking, canoeing, opportunities abound!

What a fantastic stay we had. From the moment we arrived, we felt immediately welcome thanks to the warm reception from Ron and Matine. Our room was very neat and spaciously furnished, with a wonderfully comfortable bed that allowed us to sleep really well. On top of that, waking up in such an oasis of peace A real pleasure.

The food was an absolute highlight of our stay. Both dinner and breakfast were prepared with care and were truly delicious. In short: a place where hospitality, comfort and peace come together perfectly. We look back on our stay with great pleasure and would happily return.

Matine and Rom are exceptional hosts, not only for their welcome and their smiles but also for their magnificent and warm home! A perfect dinner and breakfast. The room was tastefully decorated, large, and clean. A breathtaking view from the terrace. A place we highly recommend. Thank you, Matine and Rom!!

We had a lovely midweek break in this beautiful accommodation. A very friendly Dutch couple (Ron & Martine) who put hospitality first. They cooked delicious meals for us and served excellent breakfasts. Clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. This beautiful wooden house is set in a lovely, peaceful area with a particularly beautiful view…

We will definitely come back here again..

Autoire

In the undulating Lot countryside lies the village of Autoire. Three hundred inhabitants, two castles, turrets and half-timbered houses. One of ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages’ de France. A beautifully authentic little town. Around the Place de la Fontaine artisan shops and a winery, set tables on the terraces. Behind a Romanesque church, sweeping views over Dordogne valley. Walk from the car park to the nearby waterfall. Follow the path further and take a fantastic walk on the limestone cliffs above the village. The views here are breathtaking. Of course, we will be happy to give you tips on the most beautiful spots and the various hiking routes.

Cascade d'Autoire

One of the places in Autoire that is definitely worth visiting is the high waterfall. This is not in the village but just south of it. Within walking distance of Trésor en Bois. The Autoire waterfall, accessible only on foot, is located in the heart of the Dordogne valley. The waterfall can also be walked from the village. Explore this exceptional site, dominated by towering limestone cliffs. At 30 metres high, the Autoire waterfall is the highest waterfall in the Lot department. This allows you to see the village and the waterfall from a different perspective. Some paths are steep and lead to a plateau with stunning views over the village and the cirque. It takes some climbing, but the view is worth it.
